Why did you make the blog in the first place?
Because I wanted to share my thoughts somewhere. I lurked this site for some time before starting my own blog. People’s thoughts on the smaller internet and breaking away from large platforms resonated with me. I also remember finding a couple of artists discussing art topics on the feed, that inspired me the most.
Why did you choose Bearblog?
Because of the community! It feels sincere and is active daily. I read through some entries after I wake up and in the evening when I’m settling down.
Have you blogged on other platforms before?
Tumblr, if that counts. I had an account in 2014 to discuss my favorite cartoon shows at the time.
Do you write your posts directly in the editor or in another software?
I write them on my notes app.
When do you feel most inspired to write?
In the morning before I start my day. When I feel the most refreshed after a good night’s rest.
Do you publish immediately after writing or do you let it simmer a bit as a draft?
When I first started, I would post right away. Now during Blaugust, I hope to get in the habit of letting drafts sit in my folders. In case I need to fix typos or reword some sentences.
Your favorite post on your blog?
Any future plans for your blog? Maybe a redesign, changing the tag system, etc.?
I can’t answer that right now. I’m still getting used to making slight customizations to the original Bear theme. The simplicity is my favorite aspect of it! I don’t want to change yet. I’d rather focus on writing.
